Overview

Furality Online Xperience is the furry convention that celebrates the VR furry fandom!

Furality, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity that operates a semi-annual online convention, which is made possible by our innovative and exciting use of virtual reality.

Why Furality needs you!

The Furality team is a close-knit and diverse group of furries that are passionate about driving the VR furry fandom forward. You'll need to be 18 years of age or older.

Since our team is located around the world, all Furality team members work together remotely using Discord and Notion.

What you'll do!

As the Community Showcase Panel Judge, you will work together with other team members to review and evaluate submissions for the Community Showcase. You will analyze videos based on our guidelines and submission rules for inclusion in our showcase. Your work will help us inspire the furry community to create amazing artistic works of visual stories, skits, etc.

  • Review and judge video submissions using our documented criteria
  • Be a point of contact from our team to the contributors
  • Provide feedback on submissions, critiquing cinematography, writing, composition, editing, and other film-related artistic points
  • Be a representative of the Community Showcase Team to the public

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with providing a clear and coherent critique of video works
  • Experience with visual storytelling and media
  • Familiarity with VRChat content creation processes in the context of analyzing the level of effort and limitations of submissions
  • Expertise in one or more of the following: statistical analysis experience (for judging criteria), Miku Miku Dance (MMD) content creation, audio engineering (mixing and mastering), stop-motion animation, motion capture for VR or animation

  • Knowledgeable in video editing software and video editing techniques
  • VRChat content creation experience
  • Live performing arts and cinematography experience
  • Published film critique reviews, articles, or blogs
